Colouring the Rainbow: Book Launch and Panel Discussion

  • The Shift Little Oxford Street Darlinghurst, NSW, 2010 Australia

Wakefield Press and Mardi Gras Festival proudly invite you to the launch and panel discussion for a ground-breaking collection of inspiring life stories and essays by 22 First Nations queer and trans people from across Australia.

Colouring the Rainbow uncovers the often-hidden world of Queer and Trans Blak Australia and tells it like it is.

22 First Nations people reveal their inner reflections and outlooks on family and culture, country and identity, homophobia and transphobia, decolonisation, activism, performance and more.

Colouring the Rainbow is a real, searing and celebratory exploration of queer history, modern culture, and homonationalism in post-apology Australia.

To be launched by Allan Clarke, with guest panel speakers from Sydney and interstate.

Books and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Please RSVP by Friday 19 February via email: with ‘RSVP Colouring the Rainbow’ in the subject line.
