Presented by IVFAustralia
Family is an important universal word. Often used to describe people we love, unconditionally. People who accept you for who you are, no matter what.
With the number of children being raised in LGBTQI families growing, it highlights the issue of how to overcome discrimination for LGBTQI parents and their children.
IVFAustralia are hosting a forum on understanding what it means to be, create and raise a family in 2016.
Featuring a diverse panel, from politicians to children from LGBTQI parents, the participants will discuss their definition of family. They’ll explore the options available to the LGBTQI community for growing their family through IVF, surrogacy or adoption as well as the legal, emotional and psychological considerations for parents and their children.
The panel will address some of the key challenges facing LGBTQI families and discuss how we can work together to promote acceptance and tolerance of family diversity.
Because families come in all shapes and sizes.
