Queer Thinking – Talking Turkey: legal information for LGBTIQ conception and parenting

  • Old 505 Theatre 5 Eliza Street Newtown NSW 2042 Australia

Presented by ICLC

LGBTIQ families are diverse and are becoming more visible. Our families can take many forms and we arrive at parenting in myriad of ways – as a sperm or egg donor, a co-parent, a birth parent or via surrogacy or adoption.

Wanting to parent is a matter of the heart. But successful parenting partnerships need more than heart – they need planning, negotiation and sometimes, legal agreements.

In these pioneering days of alternative parenting arrangements, Inner City Legal Centre brings you the 4th edition of Talking Turkey: a legal guide for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer parents and donors in NSW.

If you are considering parenting or pregnancy sometime in the future, this panel discussion may help you to begin to understand the legal practicalities and ensure your parenting relationships remain relationships of the heart.
