In Difference is a deeply personal and physical investigation into sexuality, identity and inequality.

Acclaimed dance artist Craig Bary's IN DIFFERENCE confronts the politically-charged marriage equality debate through tenderness and empathy. Using a delicate blend of breathtaking choreography and intricate narrative, the work travels through the heartaches and triumphs that are intrinsic in the human pursuit for connection.

What is actually different about same sex relationships? Are we conditioned to view sexuality in particular ways? Is this a question of fundamental human rights?

In Difference is created by Craig Bary, a New Zealand born, NSW based dance artist committed to making work to reflect on and investigate current social issues. Craig's latest works, Straight Laced and In Difference, are a look into the lives of the LGBTQI community. As a member of this community he has always been a strong advocate for awareness and understanding of equality.

Craig has danced around the world with many esteemed companies and choreographers including The Australian Dance Theatre, Tasdance, KAGE, Chunky Move, Douglas Wright Dance, Footnote New Zealand Dance, New Zealand Dance Company, Raewyn Hill, Shaun Parker and Tanja Liedtke. Craig has created works for Sydney Dance Company, Footnote New Zealand Dance, iOU Collective, New Zealand School of Dance, Link Dance Company, NAISDA and the SDC Pre-Professional Year.
