About Us

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is the non-for-profit organisation that runs the Sydney Mardi Gras as well as number of other events throughout the year. 

Our general objective is to raise the visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex communities. We do that in many ways but the most notable of these is the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade. Sydney Mardi Gras hopes to inspire the world to love each other by celebrating the power and beauty of diversity.

Our chief sources of funds are events such as Mardi Gras Party and sposnorship. These allow us to put on the Parade and to cover the costs of other events such as Fair Day.
