Call Out: Organising Crew for Queer Prom
We are so excited to announce that as part of Twenty10's Mardi Gras Youth Festival Events, we're having a Queer Prom! It will be an ALCOHOL FREE event held at the Red Rattler in Marrickville, and open to all young people under 26yrs. With support from City of Sydney, Twenty10 and CampOut are working together to organise our Queer Prom , and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
WHAT IS IT? We're looking for young people under 26yrs who are filled with ideas & enthusiasm to join our organising crew. If you think that organising an event for young folk of diverse sex, sexuality and gender is your idea of a fun time; if you're looking to get involved in something over summer; if you're looking to make friends, share your skills and learn some cool stuff - then Queer Prom Organising Crew is for you!
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? Be prepared to work in a group & come along to meetings once a week. We will meet to organise things like promo, decorations, performers (i.e. encouraging young people to perform at Prom!), DJs, photo booth and all kinds of other great stuff. You don't need any experience or qualifications.
HOW DO I SIGN UP? Email rebecca@twenty10.org.au, or if you prefer info@campout.org.au
WHEN IS IT? Our first meeting is Wednesday 18th January 2012 from 5-6pm, and every Wednesday after that.
