Harbour '11, with added Daywash lineup announced!
Today New Mardi Gras (NMG) and Daywash producer Johan Khoury have announced the line-up for Harbour ’11 presented in partnership with Gaydar.com.au, presenting an impressive line-up of international stars including Wayne G (UK) and Paul Heron (UK), as well as hot Australian talents Kate Monroe and Troy Cox.
To kick off the party, NMG welcomes back Wayne G for what will be musical journey through house, electro, tribal and circuit. A talented producer of remixes for artists such as Cher, Madonna and Kylie Minogue, as well as a DJ, Wayne will bring the energy with percussive beats and uplifting infectious riffs as partygoers revel in the lush surrounds of the Botanic Gardens.
Harbour ’10 headliner Paul Heron is also back for another year, living by the musical mantra, ‘dirty sexy fun’. In what will be an electric set, Paul will play his unique brand of pumping and funky tribal and uplifting progressive house. Paul is an internationally renowned performer, who has remixed platinum selling performers such as Empire of the Sun and Grace Jones.
Australian talent will also be featured at Harbour ’11, with Kate Monroe bringing her special blend of sassy, sexy house music to thousands of international guests. Having been at the forefront of dance music in Australia and around the world for more than ten years, her floor filling style will have people dancing with their hands in the air!
Johan Khoury brings with him an impressive list of DJ credentials, having played at some of the biggest clubs, and hosted some of the wildest and best parties in Australia. Whether partygoers are on the spectacular Harbour-side dance-floor or relaxing at one of the bars, his flair for high energy sound will stand out as soon as he hits the decks!
Johan Khoury’s talent has not only commanded international respect as a DJ, but also as the founding promoter of Australia’s Daywash, Live, Rising, and Love Muscle dance parties. Having supported acts such as Freemasons (2009), Tara McDonald (2009) and The Bassmonkeys (2010), Johan Khoury will have crowds dancing for hours.
NMG welcomes back Sydney DJ favourite Troy Cox, who will demonstrate what has made him one of Australia’s most popular DJs since bursting onto the clubland scene in 2008. Troy will be playing big room house with sexy vocals and driving bass lines – the infectious sounds that have landed him residencies at RISING Day Club and The Bank Hotel, as well as headlining Toybox and Mardi Gras Pool Party.
With the best DJs, high quality production and sensational live performances, Harbour ’11 Presented in Partnership with Gaydar.com.au is a must-do part of Mardi Gras 2011.
