GOOGLE MARDI GRAS PARADE GRANTS
The Google Mardi Gras Parade Grants program provides grants to individuals, community groups and not-for-profit groups to ensure parade entries are as fabulous as possible. The program aims to increase capacity for organisation to deliver on messages during Parade, and fosters further community involvement in Mardi Gras.
Parade Grants are designed to create a “wow” experience rather than to fund basic amenities for your float or Parade entry. Proudly supported by Google, grants of between $1,000 - $5,000 are awarded to the most compelling applicants. See details here.
TAYLOR SQUARE PUBLIC ART PROJECT
As a part of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 40th anniversary celebrations, Mardi Gras called for expressions of interest from artists to create a temporary public artwork for the historic Taylor Square precinct in Darlinghurst.
The project will be installed in June 2018 and will need to reflect and celebrate the 40th anniversary of Mardi Gras, visually transform Taylor Square and engage with both the LGBTQI communities and general public.
Applications closed 12 January 2018 and the winning design was revealed on 23 February 2018. Click here to see details about the winning design.
The Taylor Square Public Art Project is proudly supported by the City Of Sydney.
