Carriageworks

Carriageworks

Carriageworks is the largest and most significant contemporary multi-arts centre of its kind in Australia. Carriageworks engages artists and audiences with contemporary ideas and issues. The program is artist led and emerges from Carriageworks' commitment to reflecting social and cultural diversity. The Carriageworks artistic program is ambitious, risk taking, and unrelenting in its support of artists.

The best way to get to events at Carriageworks is to walk, ride or use public transport. There are bike lanes on surrounding streets, and plenty of free bike parking at the venue. Use the public transport trip planner to catch a bus or train. Carriageworks is only about a 12 minute walk from Redfern or McDonaldtown stations.

Seymour Centre

Seymour Centre

Located conveniently at the Broadway end of the city, the Seymour Centre includes four performance venues, cafe, bars, expansive foyers and a large leafy courtyard. During the Mardi Gras 2019 festival, the Seymour Centre becomes Mardi Gras Central - over 12 nights leading up to the Parade, experience a wild mix of queer performance, theatre, circus, music, cabaret and burlesque!
