In the spirit of the celebration of the Mardi Gras Season, the Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence will be undertaking a Living History Walk: this year they will be focusing on the public anonymous sex venues, beats or Chapels of Lurv of the inner East and CBD. The Sisters have been undertaking these walks annually for over 27 years – with each of their walks focusing the Gay, Lesbian and Queer lifestyles in separate geographical areas of Sydney.

This year Wett Ones are bringing it back! A swim meet during Mardi Gras! A classic event on the LGBTIQ sports calendar from years gone by makes its return to the beautiful Andrew Boy Charlton pool. With harbour views and ample space for spectators come join us for a swim or just come to see the swimmers in action. This event is OPEN TO ALL – all ages can join and no Swimming Australia membership is required. The meet will be run according to MSA event rules, click buy tickets for more information.

The Little Black Dress Run is Sydney Frontrunners' annual fundraiser for Twenty10. This iconic event is a must do during the Mardi Gras Festival…. from under the Harbour Bridge to the Sydney Opera House.

A family friendly event, welcoming everyone; frock up in your best Little Black Dress (don’t have one, join one of our shopping days) and raise money for Twenty10.

Laugh so much you won’t even know you are exercising!!! Entertainment, LBD auction, nibbles and celebratory drinks are all included.

Our communities shine in the sun at Fair Day, Mardi Gras’ free family-friendly carnival of rainbow festivities, featuring a plethora of activities for the young and old, the tame and the bold!

Kick off your heels and enjoy a picnic with friends and family, and kick up your heels at the dance tent. See an amazing array of performers on the Main Stage, get amongst it in the Sports Village, sample the food stalls and admire the drag queens in all corners of the park.

There is always something for everyone at Fair Day, even our fur babies are a part of the action. Bring your most fabulous dog down to Fair Day to strut their stuff at our world-famous Doggywood competition.

Whoever you are, Fair Day is the must-do event of the year. See you there!

For one day of the year Luna Park will be rainbow for this fun and fabulous party for kids and their LGBTQI families and friends. All the fun of the fair - featuring unlimited rides all day, the wildest kid’s dance party ever in the stunning Crystal Palace and surprise performances by Sydney’s favourite drag queens.

This will be a special fun-filled treat for kids of all ages and an awesome action-packed day for the whole family.

Day Session: Ballroom Competition doors open 10.30am; first event 11am- 5pm

Evening Session: EDA Gala Ball, Buffet Dinner, Live Music, Social Dancing, Floorshows 6pm- 11pm

Equality Dance Australia Festival offers a day session of Ballroom competition for All and an evening of wild excess at the Gala Ball. 

The Ballroom and Latin Dance Festival showcases Same Sex Dance teams competing in full equality with mainstream opposite sex dancers as well as competing for the Mardi Gras Same Sex Dance Championships; and a Social competition for all levels of dancer. We embrace diversity and gender equity in dance sport. 

The Gala Ball celebrates 40 years of Mardi Gras with a Buffet Dinner, Live Music, Floor Shows and Social Dancing and featuring a special Tribute to the 78-ers. 

We offer a safe, friendly, inclusive environment where the LGBTQI+ community is encouraged to join in the competition and the evening festivities to highlight our dancing and partying skills.
