Fair Day - Sunday 21 February 2016 - Victoria Park, Camperdown.

Fair Day is an important and universally loved signature event of the annual Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras season. As in previous years, Mardi Gras wants to host the best community Fair Day possible in 2016.

Achieving this goal requires the support and participation of a diverse range of community and commercial organisations. In return, we offer the opportunity to be part of an enormously popular & well publicised event with exposure to the widest possible cross section of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex (GLBTQI) communities and the broader Sydney community.

Everyone comes to Fair Day to have fun, indulge in great food, be entertained by our showcase of Mardi Gras Festival highlights and soak up the atmosphere. This experience is greatly enhanced by the wonderful range of stallholders who participate. Fair Day is always a great place to see and be seen. It’s a family day in every sense of the word, and brings together all the diverse families that make up our community.

2016 will see the return of Fair Day favourites including performers from our outstanding Festival program, giving Sydney a taste of things to come over the season, a dedicated children’s entertainment area, the Team Sydney sports village and the tempting delights in the International Food Fair. For those with 4-legged family members or simply a soft spot for those with paws there is the special excitement of Doggywood. Doggywood is a pet pageant without peer, always incredibly well patronised by everyone who loves their pets and wants them to share in the fun of Fair Day.

If you are a business, community group or organisation looking to build recognition for your brand, or simply provide information and get your message out to a vast number of people, there is no better opportunity to do so than at Fair Day. Whether your target demographic is boys, girls, over 65s, under 18s or anywhere in between, you will find them at Fair Day – ready to have fun and sample the delights of the day, and open to what is on offer.

It’s really hard to imagine anywhere else throughout the year you might have the chance to put yourself in front of more than 80,000 people in one spot for one fun-filled day. This is the unique opportunity you have at Fair Day.

Building on the success of previous years, Fair Day 2016 is expected to draw in even more visitors as we use our powerful promotional platform to encourage people from far and wide to come along. Mardi Gras will be running advertising and promotional campaigns across a range of media all over the metropolitan area and beyond. We invite you to join us and be an integral part of the joyous and fruitful experience that will be Fair Day 2016.

Once again Fair Day will be held in the beautiful grounds of Victoria Park in Camperdown. Picturesque and panoramic, the park provides a perfect stage for the perfect day out. This year we are looking to take greater advantage of the different features of the park, utilizing the gentle slopes, lawns and gardens to create lively entertainment and interest at every turn.
