Welcome! This is where you can register your event in the 2018 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, running 16 Feb - 4 Mar.

2018 marks the 40th anniversary of Mardi Gras and the celebrations are going to be bigger, brighter and more fabulous than ever. Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras welcome you to register your event and be a part of the celebrations. 

Registrations close: 11 September 2017

 

Registration Levels:

Premier Event, Inclusion in the Printed Guide + on the Mardi Gras Website - $890 incl. GST. 

Your registration includes: 

  • Quarter page listing in the printed guide (image and up to 50 words.) Distribution of 40,000+ copies across NSW and interstate
  • Inclusion in the Festival Planner section of the printed guide
  • Feature on the Mardi Gras homepage from launch into Season. MG website gets approx. 1.4m unique visitors during Season
  • Link from homepage to event page with full details of your show and link to your ticketing page
  • 1 exclusive Facebook post or share (445,000+ likes on page)
  • At least one other social media mention
  • 1 EDM inclusion (image and up to 100 words) to MG database of 23,000+ subscribers
  • Inclusion in What’s On Today section of the Mardi Gras website on the dates of your event in Season.

Please note, space is limited in the printed guide, so we recommend getting you application in early to avoid disappointment.

 

Standard Event, Inclusion on the Mardi Gras Website - $225 incl. GST. 

Your registration includes: 

  • Event page on the Mardi Gras website in the Festival section, with full details of your show and link to your ticketing page
  • At least one social media mention 
  • Inclusion in What’s On Today section of the Mardi Gras website on the dates of your event in Season.

Terms and Conditions:

Depending on which following category you fall into, you must satisfy the condition of being a LGBTQI-related event.

A. LGBTQI Organisers

  • An event by a LGBTQI person, a group primarily involving LGBTQI people or an LGBTQI organisation. 
  • Your event may be of any kind as long as there are LGBTQI people in key roles.

B. Non-LGBTQI Organisers

  • An event by individuals or organisations that are not part of the LGBTQI community.
  • Your event must be themed around, support and/or celebrate the rights, achievements, culture and aspirations of the LGBTQI community.

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras reserves the right to not accept an application if your event does not meet either of the above criteria. 

If your event is a dance party that may conflict with the Mardi Gras Party or Laneway, Mardi Gras reserves the right to not accept the registration as a Premier event.
