Bondi Beach might be world famous for bronzed bodies, biceps and backpackers. But fierce, competing drag kings and queens?

Let the games begin, the feathers fly and the make up drip as we present the Mardi Gras Drag Races, hosted by Vanessa Wagner. An amateur gymkhana like no other, we aim to finally answer the question – who is the fairer (and fairest) sex? Will the kings reign supreme? Or will the queens top the podium?

A light hearted accompaniment to the Mardi Gras Beach Party, on the same day, the Drag Races will test each athlete to the very edge with challenges designed to measure their endurance, physical prowess and creativity. The roster of Olympic style events include: Competitive Feminine Posing; Beached Volleyball; Three Heeled/Tripod Racing; Handbag Discus and the Dainty Dune Dash. Between the heels, fake beards and soft Bondi sand, hilarity and utter spectacle is guaranteed.
