“I had fleeting thoughts of same sex attraction when I was younger. These were quickly pushed to the side with the prevalence of homophobic language at school, sport and in social circles. It took me 21 years to fully realise and admit to myself and others that I was same sex attracted. It took a further two years to identify as who I am now, a proud gay man.

The language we choose has a huge impact on those around us. It's up to all of us to be aware of the impact our language has on others.”
