The entire Mardi Gras team thank her for her tireless and wonderful work helping lead the organisation through four momentous seasons.

Here’s the message sent to our Mardi Gras members today from Fran:

Dear fabulous Mardi Gras members.

I want to let you know first that I am resigning from the board with effect from Friday 12 May. After nearly 4 years on the board including 3 as Co-Chair, 5 months as pseudo-CEO and 5 consecutive seasons it is time for me to do other things.

It’s been an enormous honour and privilege to serve on the board of this amazing organisation and I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to do so. I am very proud of my, and our, contribution to the nearly 40 year history of our organisation and thanks to the efforts of every single person involved, I leave knowing it is in a stronger position than it has been for quite a few years. I also know that it is in safe hands.

I look forward with excitement to the new energy, new perspectives and new ideas that the next years will bring and to watching the organisation continue to develop, adapt and grow.

Thank you to everyone I have worked with, celebrated with and travelled with on this extraordinary journey.

See you on the dance floor

Love Fran
