WHAT RESOURCES DO I HAVE TO HELP WITH MY ENTRY?

LOOKING FABULOUS IN THE PARADE

Maximise the visual spectacle of your float! Your message will get across much more effectively if you make a strong visual impact. The more visual and creative your Entry is, the more possibility it will also be photographed and shared on social media.

CONSULTATION

As part of the Entry process, each entry will have a consultation with representatives from the Parade or the creative team. This is a time to ask questions, bounce ideas or discuss taking your existing ideas to the next level. Once you have submitted an Application, you will be contacted to arrange a time for your consultation.

OPEN DAYS

We will be holding a few Open Days across Sydney where you can meet the Parade team and get the answers to any burning questions. Our fabulous Creative Consultants will be able to give you stellar advice on how to make your float work or shine a bit brighter! Our wonderful Community Development Leaders will also be there to answer any questions about the Application process or other general Parade questions. Pop in to meet the team or other entrants to bounce ideas and get advice on how to make your float amaze the crowd!

EVENTBRITE

Eventbrite is our preferred ticketing partner for the 2017 Festival. We have noticed that some Entrant groups utilise Eventbrite as a participant registration management system. If your Entrant group is using Eventbrite this season, we are able to include the event within a Mardi Gras Parade branded environment within the Eventbrite system. If you need more information, please let us know in your Application.

GRANTS

Grants are available to all Individuals, Community groups and Not-For-Profit groups to ensure your parade entry is as fabulous as possible. These grants are designed to create a “wow” experience rather than to fund basic amenities for your float. The grant scheme is divided into geographical location and we cater to local Sydney community members, and those travelling extra long distances to be in the parade.
