Mits Delisle (he/him)

Mits believes we’re at our best when we listen to each other and work together to build a more inclusive and diverse Mardi Gras that is focused on solutions to the challenges our community faces.

Two decades ago, I met my husband at Mardi Gras when we were both volunteering for the parade. Since returning to Australia over a decade ago, I’ve been working to build a vibrant and resilient community in Sydney. I’m an architect, with my own small firm focused on sustainability, a long-standing member of Rainbow Families and a convenor of Rainbow Labor. I’m a proud member of the Rural Fire Service and volunteer as a NSW Ambulance first responder. When I have time, I play ice hockey for Harbour Lights.

My involvement in our communities has taught me that when we meet challenges together and work towards solutions, we benefit everyone. I’m committed to listening to your stories, sharing your experiences, and lifting us all up at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
