Wrap up your Mardi Gras weekend with the campest curb-side tradition, Laneway.  Unite for one-last-time as we bid farewell to Mardi Gras 2022 with our beloved recovery party. Spread across both levels of The Beresford and spilling out onto Hill Street, it’s bound to be an ending you’ll never forget.

This year we’re uniting a stellar line-up across three dancefloors. Add in a few surprise performances and you’re set for the ultimate  Mardi Gras wrap-up of glittering gutter goodness!

Feeling like a VIP? Get exclusive access to the upstairs dancefloor, DJ and performances  with your ultimate pass to close out Mardi Gras 2022, a Laneway VIP ticket.

Our time to shine is here. The official Mardi Gras Party returns in 2022! Step into our very own glimmering playground of sensual celebration and joy as the largest LGBTQI+ party in the Southern Hemisphere. Join us and thousands of old and new friends as we take over the Hordern Pavilion, Max Watt’s, Watson's and The Entertainment Quarter.

To celebrate the 40th edition at the Hordern Pavilion we’re going back to our roots, bringing together the worlds of pop, electronic, nu-disco, ballroom, techno and house with themed dance floors, chill-out spaces and quirky corners to explore. Plus, uniting the hottest local and international DJ lineup, glittered with surprise pop-up shows and performers, anytime, anywhere, just like it used to be.

Come one, come all! It’s time to unite for Fair Day. The annual all-day celebration that kicks-off the Mardi Gras Festival is back in all its glory for 2022. This year we’re camping up the festival vibes with themed spaces and fairground fun for everyone – so bring your puppies, your neighbour and your Nan, no one will want to miss this.    

The all-day rainbow extravaganza is bound to leave you buzzing for the Festival to come. Bask in the sunshine with a picnic, wander through the community stalls or kick off your heels and dance the afternoon away as Fair Day turns into night.    

As a celebration of our glorious community, Fair Day 2022 will put the spotlight on the shining stars, ground-breaking and culture defying LGBTQI+ artists, musicians and organisations.

Progress Pride Flag Raising

Progress Pride Flag Raising

The Progress Pride flag will rise at Sydney Town Hall on 18 February 2022 to mark the beginning of the Festival season. In the spirit of this season’s theme, UNITED WE SHINE, leading community members will come together as the international symbol of LGBTQI+ pride shines from one of Sydney’s most iconic buildings. The flag will fly until the end of the 2022 Festival.
