May we never stop marching…
Since the first Sydney Mardi Gras in 1978 our communities have been one of the only pride gatherings in the world to never stop marching – through the AIDS crisis, COVID pandemic, political attacks, rain, hail and shine we have taken to the streets each year.
Although we’ve made great strides in our fight for true equality, we’ve seen recently that these strides are fragile – and the need for safe, celebratory spaces for unapologetic visibility is as vital as it’s ever been.
With EOFY on the horizon, we’re calling on our communities to make a tax-deductible donation to Sydney Mardi Gras, and help us keep marching.

Many organisations have philanthropic programs that are administered by staff and often matched by the organisation. Have a chat to your boss and see if this is something your workplace can do.

A donation to Mardi Gras can change the life of an LGBTQIA+ person
Your donation will:
• Create more free events for LGBTQI+ people
• Fund LGBTQIA+ arts practice
• Enable regional and remote communities to participate in Mardi Gras events
• Provide scholarships for disadvantaged people to access Mardi Gras
• Provide support for our senior community
