2018's 40th anniversary Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade looks set to be among the most spectacular ever seen, with the number of float applications hitting an all-time high - and encompassing an incredible array of strong and stunning creative concepts.
Notice is given to members of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Limited that an Extraordinary General Meeting will be held at ACON, Level 3, 414 Elizabeth St Surry Hills on 16th December 2017 at 11am.

2018 marks the historic 40th anniversary of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. To celebrate this milestone, the Festival program is bigger, better and more fabulous than ever as it reflects on four decades of amazing evolution, momentous achievements and extraordinary individuals.
Today Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is one of Australia’s most famous and well-loved events, bringing tens of thousands of visitors to Sydney to join in the celebrations. But it all began with a riot. On a chilly winter's night in 1978, the police descended on a street festival gathering in solidarity with the Stonewall protests in New York.
