Kathy Pavlich (she/her)

Kathy has been an active member of Mardi Gras and her community since 1989 and feels passionately about the community and the vital role that Mardi Gras plays in supporting, strengthening, amplifying and celebrating all that we are. 

Kathy started out as a volunteer for SGLMG back in 1989 and has held various roles through out the past 30 years including Board member, Parade Production and management also as the organisations Security Consultant and Risk Manager for over 12 years.

She was inducted into the SGLMG Hall of Fame in 1997 and was extremely proud to be awarded the Australian Security Medal in 2015.

As an industry respected security, risk management and governance educator and practitioner Kathy has a unique understanding of security and risk management in terms of events, community and the organisation. 

With her length and breadth of industry and community involvement especially in security has provided her with extensive experience of events and organisations at all levels.

In her current position with the NSW Government, she has created strong relationships within NSW Government and furthered her experience with policy development in Industrial Relations, People and Culture and Workforce Development.
