OREO is committed to nurturing greater visibility, acceptance and belonging for LGBTIQIA+ communities globally, and is now the Official Snacking Partner of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and Sydney WorldPride 2023.

With a long history of supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, Oreo most recently partnered with PFLAG National for LGBTQIA+ History Month, building the #ProudParent platform in the United States, aimed at empowering and inspiring parents, families, and allies of to come out in loud, public support.

In 2022, OREO is proudly pledging $500,000 to support PFLAG’s mission to provide support, education and advocacy to LGBTQIA+ people, their parents, families and allies.

This follows its partnership with the National Centre for Transgender Equality (NCTE) for WorldPride in New York City, where OREO donated 45,000 special-edition Oreo Pride pronoun packs to participants, to spark conversations in support of transgender and non-binary communities.

On Australian shores, Mondelēz International signed the Australian Marriage Equality Open Letter in 2017, joining with more than 800 other corporations to voice their support for the movement.

Mondelēz International is committed to elevating and supporting First Nations communities in Australia, publishing its first Reconciliation Action Plan in October 2021. The company also supports the Stars Foundation, an organisation that mentors and encourages Indigenous girls and young women to attend and remain engaged at school, complete Year 12 and move into full-time work or further study.

Mondelēz International uses the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as a framework to guide their commitment to making their snacks the right way, protecting the planet, and respecting the human rights of people. Globally, Mondelez International is also committed to spending $1 billion with minority and women-owned businesses by 2024.
