The team at Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras are devastated to learn that Simon Cooper, our lawyer at MinterEllison, has passed away.

A true champion of diversity, Simon played a leading role in progressing and representing the LGBTQI communities at MinterEllison, and provided legal services to Mardi Gras as part of our long-standing partnership.

We’ll remember Simon Cooper as a brilliant and inspiring lawyer who worked hard on LGBTQI inclusion, and had a great sense of humour also. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
