LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies who reside in a regional or remote Australian community. Please note that Darwin and Hobart are considered regional and people from these areas are encouraged to apply.

You are not eligible to apply if you:

• Are employed by a government organisation or are a government official;
• Have received funding from an airline other than Qantas to participate in Sydney Mardi Gras 2024;
• Are seeking a grant for any project other than a Qantas Mardi Gras Regional Grant Supported by W Hotels;
• Reside in a major or capital city (excluding Darwin and Hobart);
• Are an employee or contractor for Qantas, Marriott International, or Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras.
  
  

Grants will be assessed on the following criteria: 

• The ability of the applicant to demonstrate a meaningful connection to the LGBTQIA+ communities within regional or remote Australia.
• The extent to which the applicant can identify tangible efforts to foster LGBTQIA+ inclusion within their community.
• The extent to which the applicant can detail the positive benefits the grant would provide to them.

We recommend that you take the time to thoughtfully complete your application and ensure all required sections are submitted.

A maximum of 8 grants are available, one per Australian state/territory.
