HALL OF FAME AWARDS – NOMINATIONS OPEN
Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival only happens due to the incredible hard work of thousands of heroic volunteers, activists, community groups and allies. We’re calling for nominations of heroes who have contributed to that mission in significant ways.
The Sydney Mardi Gras Hall of Fame Award is the most prestigious award we bestow. You can see a list of past recipients here. You could nominate a volunteer, activist, or community hero, anyone who has contributed to our communities in meaningful and transformative ways.
Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Hall of Famers are people who have made an exceptional contribution to Mardi Gras that is highly original, creative or hugely influential and, in most cases, has also led to some fundamental improvements and/or innovations and may even have been transformational.
In each case, the person has left a mark on Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Hall of Famers should embody the ’spirit of Mardi Gras’.
We’re looking for people who:
- Have actively contributed to Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras over time.
- Delivered enduring and meaningful benefits for the organisation and contributed to achieving the organisation’s objectives.
- Contributed something with a transformational impact to Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
- Demonstrated Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras’s ICARE values (Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Respect, Equity)
